Wayground is an interactive quiz platform similar to Kahoot! But it allows students to complete quizzes at their own pace as well as in live game mode. It works well in both classrooms and at home, making it flexible for blended learning. Wayground has a free plan with unlimited quizzes and a paid version with advanced features like detailed analytics and integrations with Google Classroom. A strength of Wayground is its large library of pre-made quizzes covering many subjects and grade levels, which saves time for teachers and parents. A possible drawback is that students may focus on engaging with the content. Overall, Wayground is an excellent option for reviewing lessons while keeping students motivated.
Minecraft Education Edition
Minecraft Education Edition is a classroom-friendly version of the popular Minecraft game that allows students to explore problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity in a virtual world. Teachers and parents can use it to teach subjects like math, science, history, and even coding through hands-on simulations. Minecraft Education Edition requires a paid license, but many schools already provide access through Microsoft accounts. Its biggest strength is that it's highly engaging and adaptable to many subjects. However, it does require more powerful devices and may take time for teachers or parents to learn how to guide students effectively. A drawback is that the paid version has more engaging features, which may frustrate students who only use the free plan. Still, Prodigy remains one of the most popular math learning games, offering a fun way to reinforce skills.
